I’m new! What do I need to know before my first class?

Do I need grip socks?

Yes, please bring a pair from home or plan to purchase a pair in the studio.

 
 

 
 

Where can I park?

Silverlake: we have metered and free parking along Fountain Ave, Commonwealth Ave, and Hoover St. Street sweeping is every Wednesday & Friday 10a-12p. Please plan accordingly.

Burbank: we have a small parking lot and free parking along Victory Blvd and Cedar Ave.

 
 

Do I need to sign up in advance?

Yes, to ensure a space in one of our classes, you’ll need to sign up online via our APP or our schedule page on our website.


How does the waitlist work?

If a space opens up in a class with 12+ hours before the scheduled start time, the first person on the waitlist will be added to the class. You will receive an email or SMS confirming your spot in class. All late cancel and no show fees will apply if you cancel within 12 hours of the scheduled start time or you do not attend. If a space opens up in a class with less than 12 hours before the scheduled start time, clients on the waitlist will NOT be added to the class as it is too close to the start time.


I am running late. Can I still get into class?

We have a strict 5 minute late entry policy and our doors will be locked 5 minutes after the scheduled start time. No exceptions.


Which classes are good for beginners?

Start with a handful of our Fundamentals classes! If those don’t work with your schedule, try Body Tonic.


Which classes are the most challenging?

Definitely our Backend Bounce & Power + Flow 2-3 classes!


I’m injured. Which class should I take?

Stick to our Fundamentals class for any injuries or limitations; also consider booking a private training session so we can better assist you in identifying specific modifications that work for you.


I’m pregnant. Which class should I take?

Prenatal clients are welcome in our Fundamentals and Body Tonic classes.

Why did I get charged a $15 late cancel fee?

Late fees are automatically charged to your account when you cancel a class that was scheduled within the next 12 hours.


Why did I get charged a $20 no show fee?

No show fees are automatically charged to your account when you do not cancel and do not show for a scheduled class.


How do I pause my membership?

Limited members may pause their memberships for $15/week. Unlimited members receive one complimentary pause up to 30 consecutive days per calendar year. For unlimited members, any pause after your complimentary pause is $15/week. Please email us with your pause start date and end date at staff@avenir-la.com


After your initial 3 month commitment, you may cancel at any time for any reason. We need written notice at least 14 days prior to your next auto renewal date to process your cancellation. Please email us with your requested cancellation date at staff@avenir-la.com

How do I cancel my membership?


What are my booking windows?

  • Unlimited: 60 days

  • 4x, 6x, 8x, 12x: 45 days 

  • Single Classes & 10 Packs: 30 days 

  • ClassPass: 14 days


Can I purchase additional classes or private sessions?

Of course! If you want to go over your allotted monthly credits, go to book your next class and purchase a Single Class at checkout. You will receive an automatic discount for being a member! Want some private sessions? Fill out our inquiry request HERE.


What commitment do I need to make to become a member?

We require an initial 3 month commitment to become a member.


PRIVATE SESSIONS

I cancelled my session, but still got charged. Why?

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy for all private and semi-private sessions. If you cancel your session within 24 hours of the scheduled start time, you will be charged the full amount.
